Personal Visions Presents Pattern Recognition

Studio In-Sight, a working art studio in Montgomery County, MD is proud to host Pattern Recognition.  This is a continuation of the joint venture between Cornerstone Montgomery and The Dennis & Phillip Ratner Museum in which the main gallery space is named Personal Visions Gallery.  This newly assigned space is dedicated to the display of art from artists living with disabilities and primarily from Studio In-Sight, clients of Cornerstone Montgomery.

The show will run from November 3 – December 30, 2013 at the Dennis and Phillip Ratner Museum located at 10001 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda.  The gallery will host an artist reception and Holiday Craft Market on November 3 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm.  The reception is free, many of the artists and participating groups will be there to meet and greet.  Artists will be selling their crafts at the show including cards, calendars, jewelry, one of a kind gifts, knit goods, and much more.  Artist in Residence Joanne Dvorsky will be on site from noon – 3pm on December 8th.

Studio In-Sight (SIS) – Since 2006 Studio In-Sight has aimed to bring space and inspiration to individuals recovering their lives after the onset of mental illness. Artists of SIS are clients at Cornerstone Montgomery, a psychiatric rehabilitation facility in Montgomery County Maryland that serves those living with a chronic and persistent mental illness.  SIS is a part of the Life Skills Program whose mission is to guide, train, and empower clients in a social and supportive atmosphere.  The studio is dedicated to artists who want to work as artists.
