Peter & the Wolf

Peter and the Wolf is based on Sergei Prokofiev’s popular
tale of good versus evil, but the Puppet Co.’s version is a new approach to the
old tale, using character dialogue rather than narrative to develop the
plot.  It starts with an introduction to
the themes in the work as well as to musical instruments used to signify each
of the characters in the story.  It then
blends into the story of Peter and his animal friends, and their attempts to
capture wily wolf Old Lupus.  This
one-man marionette show is performed by puppetmaster Christopher Piper.  Runs Oct. 17 – Nov. 22.  Show times:
Thurs. & Fri. at 10 and 11:30 a.m.; Saturdays and Sundays at 11:30
a.m. and 1 p.m.  Recommended:  K – Grade 6.
Running time: 40 min. Reservations strongly recommended. Call our box
