Stop Cancer Now 5K Run/Walk
Join us for our 5th Stop Cancer Now 5K Run/Walk and our first ever 1-mile Fun Run this coming fall, on Sunday September 22, 2013. The race will be held on the C&O Canal Trail along the beautiful Georgetown waterfront in Washington, DC. Easily accessible by Metro, bus, and affordable Sunday parking, anyone from (but not exclusively) Virginia, Maryland, and DC can participate without hassle.
All registration fees and donations will go directly to the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund, a local nonprofit that helps adults and children reduce their risk of getting all types of cancer and assists them in choosing the safest, most effective cancer treatments. We are proud to tell you that we've been designated as one of America's Best Charities!
Run solo, as a team, or in honor of a loved one affected by cancer by fundraising with family and friends. Raise $350 or more and have their name put on ALL the race t-shirts and their picture on our Honor a Loved One Wall displayed on race day. Strollers are welcome!
