Yoga for Runners
A regular yoga practice can be a great complement to a running regimen. The exercises can be used to increase full body flexibility and strength and to correct muscular imbalances. Focus on the breath calms the mind and reduces stress. All this can lead to better running, faster recovery and reduced risk of injury.
In this workshop we will use yoga postures and stretches to gently open and strengthen not only the running muscles but also the muscles that support and stabilize our running form. We will also discuss adapting the practice to training schedules and how to modify and use postures to rehabilitate common running injuries
Suitable for both runners new to yoga and those with an ongoing practice.
