Foodie News: O'Donnell's Closes, Max Brenner Opens, Go to Rockville for Chinese Food

After more than 90 years in the region, O'Donnell's Sea Grill—famous for its rum buns, happy hour and Norfolk-style seafood—served its final meal on Saturday evening. Patrons have taken to O'Donnell's Facebook page in the last few days to share their thoughts on the closing (and to ask for some recipes), Gaithersburg Patch reported.

Students' salad days are here again: School isn't all textbooks and exams. Thirty-five Montgomery County public schools participate in some sort of vegetable gardening project, many with 100 or more students to each garden, according to a survey by Montgomery Victory Gardens, a nonprofit that supports agriculture in the county, Patch reported.

Rockville is a Chinese food destination, according to a Slate.com article lamenting DC's lack of good Chinese restaurants. DC's reputation for having no good Chinese restaurants causes "folks [to] just drive to Rockville instead," Matthew Yglesias wrote. Read the full story on Slate.com.
