Bakers and bikers needed: The 2nd annual "Tour de Cookie" bike-riding fundraiser takes place May 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and cookie bakers are needed.
"The non-competitive ride through Rockville is a twist on the average fundraiser, taking riders from cookie stand to cookie stand in a ride that could be 14 or 40 miles, depending on the rider’s ambition," Montgomery Community Media reported.
The ride raises money for the Tree House Child Assessment Center, which is "looking for sponsors and organizations to run cookie stands by cooking 500 to 600 cookies and handing them out as riders approach their booth." Read more on Montgomery Community Media's website.
