Montgomery County Business Named a Top DC Area Butcher

MeatCrafters, of Potomac, made the list for its unique Capitol Half Smokes.

If you're looking for fresh cuts of cured meat, locally made jerkies or locally sources sausages, a best bet is just around the corner, according to DCist.com's list of "The Eight Best Butchers in the DC Area."

MeatCrafters, based in Potomac, but only selling at different Montgomery County farmers' markets, made the list.

Here's what DCist had to say

The Capitol Half Smokes are my personal favorite—a blend of pork and beef, whole mustard seeds, and just a touch of smoke, these are my go-to whenever I’m tailgating with my portable grill. Their duck prosciutto is highly recommended as well. You can even buy one of their sausages hot off the grill while walking around the farmers’ market.

Find the goods at Pike Central Farm Market, 11806 Rockville Pike in Rockville, on Saturdays and the Bethesda Central Farm Market, 7600 Arlington Blvd. in Bethesda, on Sundays.
