Report: Tara Thai Closed for Rodent Infestation

WUSA 9's Russ Ptacek uncovered a Bethesda restaurant violation.

WUSA 9's Russ Ptacek's latest report on restaurant closings in the DC area included a Bethesda restaurant, Tara Thai (4828 Bethesda Ave.), which was closed by restaurant inspectors for "operating with a rodent infestation and cited [with] 18 violations including multiple live roaches seen in the kitchen and rodent droppings found on food contact surfaces."

The restaurant's owners, however, told WUSA 9 that the business was closed "for not having pest control reports ready on time and they have changed the pest control schedule from every two weeks to every week." The restaurant is open again, WTOP added.

Read more about the closing, and about other temporary closings in the area (including the well-known Hank's Oyster Bar in DC) on WUSA 9's website.
