Glen Echo Fire Department Open House

The Glen Echo Fire Department will hold its Annual Open House on Sunday October 21, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., rain or shine.  Come meet our volunteers.  We will have many fire and rescue activities, including station tours, apparatus tours, fire pole demonstrations, safety demonstrations, and junior firefighter training (using a hose to put out a fire in our small house) and we’ll have firefighter hats for children.  You can see our ambulance, engine, and gator.  The gator is a unique specially equipped ATV used for search and rescue on the trails and along the river in area that can't be reached by an ambulance.  See our specially equipped bicycles and enjoy a fire house hot dog. We look forward to seeing you there!
