Help Local Resident Help Haitian Children Attend School

Enabling Minds is helping raise money to send Haitian children with disabilities to school, according to the organization's Go Fund Me profile.

Finished procuring gifts for all your family members, but still itching to give a little more?

Consider giving to Go Fund Me project Enabling Minds, which is collecting donations to send Haitian children with disabilities to school.

"In Haiti children with intellectual disabilities are often seen as incapable of living normal lives. Rarely do they attend school and they often spend their days sitting at home or helping out with household chores. Let's help change that," project organizer and Washingtonian Tarik Khan wrote in the project's Go Fund Me profile.

Khan is working with the St. Charles Borromeo School in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti, which is starting to teach children with disabilities, Khan wrote.

Just $25 buys a child's breakfast and lunch for a month, $44 provides a student's tuition for one month, and $46 pays for tailored uniforms for two students.
