The number of recorded flu cases in Maryland this winter is ticking upward, and shots are still available.

The number of flu cases currently is not nearly as high as it was at this time last year—when flu cases were registering well into the "intense" category, according to Google.org's Flu Trends website. Currently, the number of recorded cases is in the "moderate" range. But, as some past years have shown, the peak of flu season often happens in February.
