Bethesda Family/Friends Complete Triathlon to Raise $10,000+ for 10-Year-Old Cancer Patient

After months of preparation and fundraising, Wilder Leavitt, and the relay team of Mary Morningstar (swim), Karine Vincent (bike), and Hélène Lesbats (run) completed the Ulman Cancer Foundation for Young Adults olympic distance Half Full Triathlon on 6 October 2013 in honor of 10-year-old Ewen Raballand who is fighting bone and lung cancer.  With an excellent day for racing and emotions high, the triathletes, going by the moniker Ewen’s Hair Force, joined 1200 other triathlete fundraisers all swimming, biking and running in support of the fight against cancer.  They were very proud to go the distance knowing that 85 friends and family members donated $10,360 towards the fight against cancer.  When Ewen's mom, Hélène, approached the finish line to complete her first triathlon, Ewen and his three siblings rushed to her and they all crossed the finish line together, a show of solidarity symbolizing our ceaseless commitment to Ewen and his struggle.

Please encourage your family and friends to donate (http://halffulltriathlon.com/donations/?kwoAdvocateId=79SQLD3).
