Heavy Fire, Black Plume at North Bethesda Commercial Blaze

First responders encountered 'heavy fire,' Montgomery County Fire and Rescue said.

Crews responded to a blaze reported at a commercial building in North Bethesda Wednesday morning and encountered "heavy fire," according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

Fire in the 11800 block of Nebel Street was concentrated in the garage bay area at the Washington Gas facility, officials reported at 6:37 a.m.

The building where the fire broke out is used as a storage facility for company trucks, according to CBS DC.

A black plume of smoke was coming out of the garage, which flames had engulfed, NBC Washington reported.

The fire was out by 8 a.m., according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, which reported there were no injuries and investigators remained on the scene.
