Armed Robbery at Radio Shack in Downtown Bethesda

Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division is investigating.

Update, Feb. 14, 8:36 a.m.: Police tell Patch that a Wisconsin Avenue Radio Shack employee was assaulted during the course of the robbery that happened around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to police spokesman Howard Hersh, three men armed with pepper spray, a crowbar and brass knuckles entered the store and assaulted the employee.

The men made off with electronics. Police are describing the suspects as three males between 250 and 300 pounds.

Original Post, Feb. 13: Montgomery County Police responded at 4:38 p.m. to an armed robbery at Radio Shack at 8125 Wisconsin Ave., according to police spokeswoman Lucille Baur.

"We don't have a lot of details at this point," Baur said.

Major Crimes Division robbery detectives are currently investigating the crime.
