Armed Robbery Reported in Cabin John

Two teens tied resident with tape and stole property from his house, police said.

An armed robbery occurred at a residence in the 7400 block of Arden Court in Cabin John on Monday, police said.

Montgomery County Police responded to the house at 1:01 p.m. Police said two teenage boys came to the home and asked the 68-year-old resident if he had tape. When he returned with it, they used the tape to bind him.

The men stole property and left the house. The resident was able to free himself and call police. He was not injured, police said.

Police are searching for suspects who are described as thin white males around 5-foot-6. Police said they were wearing black baggy pants, black knit hats and brown canvas gloves.

On Monday afternoon, neighbors in the Cabin John neighborhood told TBD.com they were nervous and believed the thieves may have stolen guns from the home.
