Armed Robbery Reported In Park Bethesda Parking Lot

Incident happened Jan. 19 in parking lot of Westbard Avenue apartment complex.

A man was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the apartment complex Jan. 19, according to Montgomery County Police and a Park Bethesda property manager.

Montgomery County police said the man, 32, was robbed in a parking lot in the 5300 block of Westbard Avenue around 9 p.m. The assailant stole electronics and personal items, according to Sgt. Jennifer McNeal, a Montgomery County Police spokeswoman.

The property manager, Jean Garfinkle, confirmed "an incident in the parking lot last week," but referred other questions to police.

Police aren't sure whether or not the incident is linked to a in recent months, McNeal said. It's not clear whether the man who was robbed is a Park Bethesda resident.
