UPDATE: Bank of America Evacuated After Report Of Suspicious Odor

UPDATE, 1:48 p.m.: Responders did not detect carbon monoxide or toxic material in the Old Georgetown Road Bank of America that was evacuated this morning on the report of an unidentified odor, according to Fire and Rescue Spokesman Capt. Oscar Garcia.

However, three occupants of the building were transported to the hospital with carbon monoxide-type symptoms, including a headache, Garcia said. The three people taken to the hospital were among four or five occupants of the building evaluated, Garcia said.

Original post, 10:49 a.m.: A Bank of America at 10400 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda was evacuated Tuesday morning after a suspicious odor was reported, according to WTOP.

Four people said they weren't feeling well after the odor was detected near the teller area, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokeman Capt. Oscar Garcia told WTOP.

A hazmat team responded around 9:40 a.m.. No one was taken to the hospital.
