Bethesda, Chevy Chase Crime: Burglaries and a Snatch-and-Grab

The snatch-and-grab occurred in the 11300 block of Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, on Friday, May 10, at about 5:15 p.m.

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department in its summary of major crimes occurring in the county between May 6 and 14. The mention of an arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

  • A commercial burglary occurred at 4302 East-West Highway, Bethesda, during the weekend between Friday, May 10, and Sunday, May 12. There was a forced entry, but nothing was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 4200 block of East-West Highway, Bethesda, on Monday, May 13, at about 5:15 p.m. No further details were available as of Thursday, May 23.
  • A snatch-and-grab incident occurred in the 11300 block of Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, on Friday, May 10, at 10 p.m. The suspect forcefully removed property from the victim.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 5100 block of Cape Cod Court, Bethesda, on Monday, May 13, at 2:45 p.m. There was a forced entry, but it is unknown what was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 5100 block of Brookview Drive, Bethesda, between Monday, May 6, and Thursday, May 9. There was no forced entry, and property was taken.
