Bethesda, Chevy Chase Crime: Burglaries at St. Dunstan's Church, Security Public Storage

A robbery, residential burglaries and commercial burglaries were included in the crime summary.

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department in its summary of major crimes occurring in the county between June 24 and July 2. The mention of an arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

  • A commercial burglary occurred at St. Dunstan’s Church (5450 Massachusetts Ave., Bethesda) on Wednesday, June 26, at about 9:45 a.m. No further details were available as of the time of the publication of the crime summary on July 12.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at Security Public Storage (5223 River Rd., Bethesda) between Friday and Saturday, June 28 and 29. There was a forced entry, but nothing was taken. 
  • A robbery occurred at the intersection of Hunt and Wisconsin avenues, Bethesda, on Saturday, June 29, at about 10:45 p.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property from the victim. 
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 3100 block of Brooklawn Terrace, Chevy Chase, between Friday, June 28, and Sunday, June 30. The entry is unknown, and nothing was taken.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at Subway (7201 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda) on Wednesday, June 26, at about 1:25 a.m. There was a forced entry, and property was taken. 
  • A commercial burglary occurred at Chase Crossing Apartments (12000 Chase Crossing Circle, North Bethesda) between 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, and 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3. There was no forced entry, and property was taken.
