Bethesda, Chevy Chase Crime: Thefts from Vehicles on Pinehurst, Western Avenue

Crimes in Bethesda and Chevy Chase included in the county police department's most recent crime summary.

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department in its summary of major crimes occurring in the county between Sept. 30 and Oct. 8. The mention of an arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Residential burglaries:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 4500 block of Middleton Lane in Bethesda during the night between Sunday, Oct. 6, and Monday, Oct. 7. There was no forced entry, and property was taken. 
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 7800 block of Westfield Drive in Bethesda between Wednesday, Oct. 2, and Thursday, Oct. 3. There was no forced entry, and property was taken.
  • An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 9600 block of Eagle Ridge Drive in Bethesda during the night between Wednesday, Oct. 2, and Thursday, Oct. 3. There was no forced entry, and nothing was taken.

  • Four thefts from vehicles occurred during the night between Friday, Oct. 4, and Saturday, Oct. 5, at unsecured vehicles on Pinehurst Parkway and Western Avenue in Chevy Chase. Sports gear and a change purse were taken.
