Bethesda, Chevy Chase Crime: Robbery on Bradley Boulevard

Crimes in Bethesda and Chevy Chase included in the county police department's most recent crime summary.

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department in its summary of major crimes occurring in the county between Nov. 4 and 12. The mention of an arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Robberies:

  • A robbery occurred in the 4700 block of Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda on Friday, Nov. 8, at about 6 p.m. The suspect assaulted the victim and obtained property.

  • Thefts of exterior property from three homes occurred between Wednesday, Nov. 6, and Sunday, Nov. 10. Incidents occurred on Glenridge Street, Locust Hill Road and Elmhirst Drive in Bethesda.  
  • A theft occurred on Saturday, Nov. 9, between noon and 2:45 p.m. in the 10200 block of Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda. A wallet was taken from the victim’s purse. 
  • Two thefts occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 6, between 8 a.m. and noon. Property was taken from the exterior of the homes on Worthington Drive in Bethesda. 
  • A theft occurred at 7101 Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda on Saturday, Nov. 9, between 5 and 6:15 p.m. Property was taken from the victim’s purse. 

Commercial burglaries:

  • A commercial burglary occurred at Bradley Drugs (6900 Arlington Rd., Bethesda) on Sunday, Nov. 10, at about 2:15 a.m. Forced entry; unknown what was taken. 
  • A commercial burglary occurred at Bethesda Beer & Wine (8015 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at about 5 a.m. Forced entry; property taken. 
  • A commercial burglary occurred at River RX (5257 River Rd., Bethesda) on Monday, Nov. 11, between midnight and 6:40 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

Residential burglaries:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 10500 block of Weymouth Street in Bethesda on Wednesday, Nov. 6, between 1:30 and 2 a.m. Forced entry; unknown what was taken. A 26-year-old man from Bethesda was arrested.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 7500 block of Nevis Road in Bethesda on Friday, Nov. 8, between 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Forced entry; property taken. 
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 7000 block of Broxburn Drive in Bethesda on Friday, Nov. 8, between 2:30 and 7:45 p.m. Forced entry; property taken. 
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 7300 block of Heatherhill Court in Bethesda between Nov. 8 and 10. No forced entry; property taken. 
  • An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 5500 block of Devon Road in Bethesda on Friday, 11/8 between 11:40 a.m. and 12:12 p.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken. 
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 5400 block of Alta Vista Road in Bethesda on Friday, Nov. 8, between 5 and 11 p.m. Forced entry; property taken. 
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 5900 block of Aberdeen Road in Bethesda between Monday, Nov. 11, and Tuesday, Nov. 12. Forced entry; nothing taken. 

Thefts from vehicles:

  • Seven thefts from vehicles occurred during the night between Wednesday, Nov. 6, and Thursday, Nov. 7. Entry was forced into many of the vehicles and auto parts were taken. Streets affected included: Harwick Road, Mohican Road, Davenport Terrace, Tomlinson Avenue and Wynnwood Road in Bethesda.
