Bethesda Crime: Aggravated Assaults and Thefts Reported
The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. The mention of arrests or charges does not indicate a conviction.
The has released a summary of major crimes occurring in the county between Feb. 27 and March 6. The following crimes in Bethesda were included in the summary:
- A theft and aggravated assault occurring shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, in the 11300 block of Rockville Pike. Three female suspects—between the ages of 18 and 25—took property from and assaulted a victim before fleeing, possibly in a white Honda. One of the suspects had long red hair, was about 5 feet tall and weighed about 135 pounds. Another had black dreadlocks, was about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighed about 145 pounds. The third suspect was about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighed about 145 pounds.
- Two thefts from vehicles parked in Montgomery County parking lots at Woodmont Avenue and Bethesda Avenue between 7:30 and 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29. An unknown suspect or suspects gained access to the vehicles, and stole laptop computers and iPods.
- An aggrevated assault occuring shortly after 1 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, at in Bethesda. A man from Palm Coast, FL, was arrested in connection with the assault.
