Bethesda-Chevy Chase Crime: Residential Burglaries and Thefts from Vehicles

Local crime incidents included in the county police department's most recent crime summary.

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department in its summary of major crimes occurring in the county between June 3 and 11. The mention of an arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 11100 block of Snowshoe Lane in North Bethesda on Tuesday, June 11, between 10 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. There was a forced entry, and property was taken. 
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 5100 block of Newport Avenue in Bethesda on Friday, June 7, between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. There was a forced entry, and property was taken. 
  • A theft occurred in the 5530 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase on Wednesday, June 5, between 12:30 and 1 p.m. 
  • Six thefts from vehicles occurred along the DC border during the night between Sunday, June 9, and Monday, June 10, in the Westhaven and Westgate neighborhoods. Only one vehicle was forced open.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 5900 block of Aberdeen Road in Bethesda between Tuesday, June 4, and Thursday, June 6. Property was taken from a garage.
