Burglars Rouse, Rob Residents in Bethesda House

Two men made off with loot after a combination burglary and robbery on Natelli Woods Lane late Saturday night.

Two men woke up the residents of a house on Natelli Woods Lane in Bethesda Saturday night, demanded valuables and left with loot, according to a county police statement.

The robbers got into the house—in the 7100 block of Natelli Woods Lane—through an unlocked door at around 11:30 p.m. on July 13, police said. Police officers and a canine team searched the area, but did not find the two male suspects. No additional information about the suspects was available as of Sunday afternoon, according to the police statement.

Police are investigating whether the incident is related to other late-night burglaries and urge residents to lock all doors and windows at night. Report suspicious activity to the police department's non-emergency phone number at 301-279-8000.

Natelli Woods Lane is no stranger to burglaries. Last January, an unoccupied mansion in the 7000 block of the street was taken over by so-called "Moorish Nationals" in what police have classified as a burglary, Patch reported.
