Original post, 10:55 a.m.: A car fire prompted the closure of all lanes of the Outer Loop of the Capital Beltway around 10:30 Sunday morning just before Connecticut Avenue.
A car involved in a single-vehicle accident caught fire, according to the Maryland State Police.
No one was in the vehicle at the time it caught fire and no one was injured, according to police.
Shortly before 11 a.m., lanes were expected to re-open shortly.
