Chevy Chase Crime: Thefts from Vehicles

The vehicles were forced open, and valuables left inside them were taken.

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department in its summary of major crimes occurring in the county between March 18 and 26.The mention of an arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

  • Four thefts from vehicles occurred in the Friendship Heights-Bethesda police beat. Two occurred on different days in the Friendship Heights area, and two occurred during the early morning hours on Tuesday, March 19, in the Glen Echo neighborhood. The vehicles were forced open, and assorted valuables left inside them (laptops, wallets, clothing, etc.) were taken.
