Concrete Used to Smash Window, Ransack Home

The tools of the burglary trade can be as simple as a piece of concrete.

A piece of concrete was used by someone to smash a rear basement window of a home in the 4200 block of East-West Highway, Chevy Chase, on Monday, May 13, according to Montgomery County police.

Once inside, the suspect ransacked the home. As of Tuesday morning, it was unknown what—if anything—was taken, police said.

The incident occurred between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., police said.
