Man Walking Robbed at Gunpoint in Chevy Chase, DC

The robber took bags and fled on foot on Chevy Chase Parkway.

A man used a handgun to rob a man walking in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of Washington, DC, just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, according to DC's Metropolitan Police Department.

The victim was walking on the sidewalk in the 3700 block of Fessenden Street NW when the alleged robber flashed a handgun and demanded the victim hand over the bags he was carrying, said Lt. Antonio Charland of the Metropolitan Police Department's Second District.

With loot and gun, the suspect took off on foot. He was last seen in the 5000 block of Chevy Chase Parkway in Washington.

DC police are working with police in other jurisdictions to identify and apprehend the suspect.
