UPDATE: Missing Bethesda Journalist Found Dead in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania State Police believe Joachim Walter-Gustav Rogge took his own life.

Update, June 9, 3:30 p.m.: Pennsylvania State Police said Thursday that they believe missing Bethesda journalist Joachim Walter-Gustav Rogge took his own life. 

Rogge's body was found in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, along State Route 15, according to Trooper James Wool of the Pennsylvania State Police. Rogge's body was discovered in a wooded area near the highway by a state transportation who was doing work along the road, Wool said. Rogge's car was found nearby.

Foul play is not suspected in Rogge's death, Wool said.

Original post, June 8: A journalist who from Bethesda late last month has been found dead in Pennsylvania, according to Montgomery County Police.

Joachim Walter-Gustav Rogge, 53, worked as a U.S. correspondent for WAZ Mediengruppe, a German newswire service, according to news reports. He left his home in the 6900 block of Marbury Road in the early morning hours of Saturday, May 28. He was last seen in Edgewood, MD.

The Baltimore Sun reported that he left home after a dispute with his wife.

Rogge's body was found in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, according to Montgomery County Police. Foul play is not suspected. The Pennsylvania State Police are handling the death investigation.
