Pedestrian Struck At Wisconsin and Woodmont

The pedestrian suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital, according to police.

A car struck a pedestrian in downtown Bethesda early Sunday evening, according to Montgomery County police.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded to Wisconsin and Woodmont avenues at 5:15 p.m., police said. The pedestrian was injured and taken to a hospital.

No further details on the victim were immediately available.

The accident shut down southbound Route 355 in the area for about an hour, police said.
