Police Blotter: Dec. 12 - Dec. 20

Residential burglaries, thefts from autos, and a carjacking reported.

Montgomery County police recently released a summary of crimes in the second district from Dec. 12 to Dec. 20. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Dec. 16

  • A home was burglarized in the 6700 block of Bonaventure Court between 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, and noon Saturday, Dec. 17. Property was stolen. There was no forced entry into the home.

  • A home was burglarized in the 9100 block of Willow Gate Lane at 6:18 p.m. There was forced entry into the home and property was stolen.
  • A carjacking happened in the 4700 block of Montgomery Avenue around 1:40 a.m.  A suspect threatened a victim with an implied weapon and stole their car. Police are describing the suspect as a white male, between 25 and 35 years old and between five feet, five inches and five feet, six inches tall, with a heavy build.

Dec. 19

  • Items were stolen from two unlocked vehicles on Sonoma Road and Pheonix Road between 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20. Cash was stolen from the vehicles.
