Montgomery County police recently released a summary of crimes in the county from Feb. 21 to March 1. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

 

Feb. 18

  • An attempted residential burglary happened sometime between Friday, Feb. 18 and Monday, Feb. 21 in the 5900 block of Searl Terrace. There was attempted forced entry but the home wasn’t accessed.


Feb. 24

  • An attempted theft from a vehicle happened just after midnight in the 4500 block of Fairfield Drive. An officer saw a suspect walking down the street trying car doors, and searching the glove box of an unlocked Mini Cooper. Police arrested a 26-year-old male from Bethesda.

  • A commercial burglary happened at Jim Coleman Toyota, 10400 Auto Park Avenue sometime between 10:00 a.m. Sunday Feb. 27 and 9:30a.m. Feb. 28. There was no sign of forced entry but property was taken.


Feb. 28

  • A commercial burglary happened at Marten’s Volvo at 5206 River Road, Bethesda sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 4:55 a.m. There was forced entry but it was unknown if anything was taken. Police are describing the suspect as a black male, five feet seven inches tall and 150 pounds.
  • A residential burglary happened at 10:35 a.m. in the 6500 block of Madeira Lane. It wasn’t known how the home was accessed or whether anything was taken.
