A summary of recent crime in Bethesda.

Montgomery County police recently released a summary of recent crimes in the county from Feb. 7 to Feb. 15. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

 

Feb. 7

  • A commercial burglary happened at Landmark Parking, 6901 Rockledge Drive, in the overnight hours from Monday, Feb. 7, into Tuesday, Feb. 8. There was forced entry but it was unknown whether anything was taken.
  • Six thefts from vehicles happened near Bethesda’s Burning Tree neighborhood.  Two happened in the overnight hours from Monday, Feb. 7 into Tuesday, Feb. 8 and four in the overnight hours between Wednesday, Feb. 9 into Thursday, Feb. 10.  Three vehicles were found with broken windows, and three had been left unlocked. Items inside the cars were stolen.

Feb. 8

  • A happened at the Radio Shack at 8125 Wisconsin Avenue around 4:20 p.m.  Three suspects stole property from the store. Police have since made in this case.
  • A theft happened in the 600 block of Wiscasset Road in the overnight hours from Tuesday, Feb. 8 into Wednesday, Feb. 9.  Copper wire was taken from a construction site. 

Feb. 10

  • Graffiti tags were painted on a sign and a wall at the county parking garage at 7730 Woodmont Avenue in the overnight hours between Thursday, Feb. 10 and into Friday, Feb. 11.
  • Multiple incidents of vandalism happened in the overnight from hours Thursday, Feb. 10 into Friday, Feb. 11. Seventeen residents along Iroquois Road, Namakagan Road and Tuscarawas Road.  No suspects were seen.

Feb. 11

  • A residential garage burglary happened in the 8800 block of Beech Tree Road, sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.  There was no forced entry and property was taken.

Feb. 13

  • A commercial burglary happened at Ernie’s Automotive at 5200 River Road around 4:30 a.m.  There was forced entry and property was taken.
