A summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Montgomery County police recently released a summary of crimes in the county from July 18 to July 26. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

July 20

  • Items were stolen from multiple vehicles at Cordell Avenue and Old Georgetown Road around 9a.m. Police arrested a 27-year-old Bethesda man in that case.

July 25

  • A commercial robbery happened at the at 10400 Old Georgetown Road around 12:30 a.m.  An employee told police that a masked suspect entered a rear office, displayed a handgun, and demanded property. The suspect stole cash. An arrest has not yet been made in that case, a police spokesman said. Patch will bring you updates as they become available.

July 26

  • Multiple attempted vehicle thefts happened in the 6000 block of Henning Street, around 12:15 a.m. Police arrested a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy.
