Police Blotter: July 25 - Aug. 3

A summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Montgomery County police recently released a summary of crimes in the county from July 25 through August 3. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

July 25

  • Two homes in the 6400 block of Rock Forest Drive were burglarized between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There was forced entry into both of the homes. Property was stolen from one home and it wasn’t known whether anything was stolen from the second home.

  • A robbery happened in the 7300 block of Woodmont Avenue between 3p.m. and 7p.m. Two suspects displayed a weapon and stole property. Police are describing the suspects as a Hispanic male, between 30 and 40, five feet to five feet, five inches tall and between 110 and 130 pounds, and a Hispanic female, 25 to 30 years old, between five feet, four inches and five feet, six inches tall and between 100 and 120 pounds. The two were driving a white Mercedes- Benz SUV. 
  • A home was burglarized in the 5400 block of Westbard Avenue sometime between 11a.m. Thursday, July 27 and 8p.m. Friday, July 29. There was unforced entry into the home and property was stolen.

 July 30

  • A robbery happened in the 7400 block of Arlington Road between 9:15p.m. and 9:20p.m.  The suspects displayed a weapon and stole property from the victim. Police are describing the suspects as a black male, between five feet, ten inches and six feet tall and 180 and 200 pounds, and a black male, between five feet and five feet, two inches tall.

August 1

  • An office at 8218 Wisconsin Avenue was burglarized at 9:38a.m. It’s not known how the suspect entered the office or whether anything was stolen.
