A summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Montgomery County police recently released a summary of crimes in the county from June 13 to June 21. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

June 15

  • A residential burglary happened in the 9800 block of Bristol Square Lane sometime between 8:40 a.m. and 9 a.m. There was forced entry and property was stolen.
  • A residential burglary happened in the 6000 block of Bradley Boulevard, around 11:15 p.m. There was unforced entry into the home and nothing was stolen.

  • A residential burglary happened  in the 5500 block of Oakmont Avenue. It wasn’t known how the home was accessed or whether anything was stolen.

 
Unspecified dates, times

  • There were multiple thefts from vehicles during the week in Bethesda’s Glenwood neighborhood, between Old Georgetown Road and the NIH complex. None of the thefts involved forced entry and most of the victims told police their cars had been left unlocked. The vehicles were search and cash—mostly coins—and GPS units were among the items stolen. The streets targeted included the 6600 block of Marywood Road, 5700 block of Lenox Road, 8500 block of Rosewood Drive, 5300 block of McKinley Street, 8500 block of Haxelwood Drive and the 5200 block of Glenwood Road.
