Police Blotter: March 6 - March 15

A summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Montgomery County Police recently released a summary of crimes in the county from March 6 to March 15. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

March 7

  • A theft happened in the 5300 block of Albermarle Street around 1:45 p.m.  Copper gutters were stolen from a residence. 
  • Three thefts from vehicles happened in the overnight hours between Monday, March 7, and Tuesday, March 8, along Irvington Avenue. Five other thefts from vehicles happened between Monday, March 7 and Monday, March 14, in the 8600 block of Old Georgetown Road, the 600 block of Henning Street, the 6800 block of Algonquin Avenue, the 8700 block of Rayburn road, and the 7800 block of Maryknoll Avenue.  Cash, GPS units, and laptops were stolen.

March 9

  • A commercial burglary happened at 5077 Bradley Boulevard  around 5:45 a.m.  Nothing was taken and it was unknown how the suspect entered the business. Police arrested the suspect, a 21-year-old male.

March 11

  • A happened at Lululemon Athletica at 4856 Bethesda Avenue in Bethesda after 10p.m. Police have 28, for the murder of her co-worker, Jayna Murray, 30. Look for complete coverage on Bethesda Patch.
  • A commercial burglary happened at Coventry Health Care at 6705 Rockledge Drive sometime between Friday, March 11 and Monday, March 14. Property was taken and it was unknown how the suspect entered the building.
