A summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Montgomery County Police recently released a summary of crimes in the second district from Nov. 21 to Nov. 29. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Nov. 22

  • Six thefts from vehicles haapened overnight from Tuesday, Nov. 22 to Wednesday, Nov. 23 in neighborhoods near Massachusetts Avenue in Glen Echo. Cash, a bike rack and credit cards were stolen from unlocked vehicles.
  • A home was buglarized in the 6600 block of Michaels Drive sometime between Tuesday, Nov. 22 and Thursday, Nov. 24. There was unforced entry into the home and property and cash were stolen. Police are describing the suspect as a 25-year-old black male.

  • A home was burglarized and a car was stolen in the 4500 block of Highland Avenue sometime between Thursday, Nov. 24, and Saturday, Nov. 26. The stolen car was a 2008 Honda Civic.

Nov. 26  

  • A victim was assaulted at West Virginia Avenue and Wisconsin Avenue around 11 p.m. Police didn't have further information.
  • A home was burglarized in the 5200 block of Pooks Hill Road at 8 p.m. It's unknown how the suspect entered the home or whether anything was stolen.

  • Items were stolen from three vehicles at Westfield Montgomery Mall, 7101 Democracy Boulevard at various times throughout the week, but during daytime hours. There was forced entry into the vehicles and laptops, electronics, and other loose items left inside were stolen.
