Police Blotter: Oct. 24 - Nov. 1

A summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Montgomery County police recently released a summary of crimes in the county from Oct. 24 to Nov. 1. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Oct. 24

  • A garage was burglarized outside a home in the 5000 block of Del Ray Avenue at 4:50 p.m. There was unforced entry into the garage and nothing was stolen. A 19-year-old male from Washington, D.C. was arrested.

  • There was a theft from a construction site in the 6300 block of East Halbert Road sometime between Monday, Oct. 24 and Tuesday, Oct. 25.  A saw was stolen from a home under construction.

  • There were two thefts from vehicles in the 4500 block East West Highway and the 4800 block of Montgomery Avenue. There was forced entry into the vehicles and property was stolen.

Oct. 28

  • A home was burglarized in the 9300 block of Wildoak Drive sometime between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. There was forced entry and property was stolen.

  • There was a theft from a vehicle in the unit block of Pooks Hill Road sometime between 2 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  Vehicle parts were stolen.

Oct. 30

  • There were two thefts from vehicles in the overnight hours from Sunday, Oct. 30, to Monday, Oct. 31 in the 9800 block of Belhaven Road and the 9900 block of Julliard Drive. In both crimes, cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Oct. 31

  • There was an attempted commercial burglary at the Long & Foster at 4650 East West Highway in the overnight hours from Monday, Oct. 31 to Tuesday, Nov. 1.  There was attempted forced entry into the business. Nothing was stolen.
  • A home was burglarized and a vehicle was stolen in the 4300 block of Lynbrook Drive sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. It wasn’t known how the suspect entered the home.
