A summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Montgomery County police recently released a summary of crimes in the county between Oct. 3 and Oct. 11. Following is a summary of crimes in Bethesda.

 

Oct. 3

  • There were five thefts from vehicles in the overnight hours between Monday, Oct. 3, and Tuesday, Oct. 4. Items including GPS units and iPod chargers were stolen from unlocked vehicles along Elsmere Avenue, Elsmere Place, and Jesup Lane.

Oct. 6

  • A home was burglarized in the 4200 block of East West Highway sometime between 7:15 p.m. and 8 p.m. There was forced entry and property was stolen.

  • There was a in the 5400 block of Westbard Avenue. Police said Martin Sean O’Toole, 38, killed White Oak resident Hong Trang Tracy Vu, 35, in his apartment before killing himself. Their bodies were discovered around 11 a.m.

Oct. 11

  • A home was burglarized in the 600 block of River Road sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. There was forced entry and property was stolen.
