Police Blotter: Sept. 19 - Sept. 27

A summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Montgomery County police recently released a summary of crimes in the county from Sept. 19 through Sept. 27. Following is a summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Sept. 21

  • A theft from a construction site happened in the 10600 block of Westlake Drive sometime between Wednesday, Sept. 21 and Thursday, Sept. 22.

  • There were several thefts from vehicles along with a residential burglary and an auto theft in the 9900 block of Dickens Avenue sometime between midnight and 8a.m. A suspect entered a home and stole property and car keys, then used the keys to steal the victim’s car. Two unlocked vehicles parked on the same street were entered and an iPod was stolen from one car. There was nothing stolen from the other.

Sept. 23

  • Graffiti was drawn on a building in the 4400 block of S. Park Avenue sometime between Friday, Sept. 23, and Monday, Sept. 26.

  • A home was burglarized in the 8600 block of Country Club Drive sometime between 6:30 and 10:30 p.m. Property was stolen.
  • A home was burglarized in the 9200 block of Redwood Avenue around 8:30 p.m.  There was forced entry into the home and property was stolen.

Sept. 26

  • There was an attempted residential burglary in the 5100 block of Duvall Drive sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There was attempted forced entry into the home.
  • Vehicle parts were stolen near Brewer House Road and Hampton Mill Terrace in the overnight hours from Monday, Sept. 26, into Tuesday, Sept. 27.
