Police Blotter: Sept. 27 to Oct. 5

A summary of recent crimes in Bethesda.

Montgomery County Police released a summary of crimes between Sept. 27 and Oct. 5 Thursday. Following is a summary of crimes that took place in Bethesda.

  • A vehicle was stolen in the 7300 block of Westlake Terrace between 3a.m. and 4:45p.m. Monday, Sept. 27. A green 1998 Plymouth Voyager was stolen.
  • Five thefts from vehicles were reported in the overnight hours from Tuesday, Sept. 28, to Wednesday, Sept. 29. There was forced entry into some vehicles and unforced entry on others, police reported. The thefts all took place in a police beat that includes Bethesda neighborhoods Huntington, Bradmoor Terrace, Bradley Woods, Greenwich Forest, English Village, Battery Park, and Landon Woods.
  • Police were called to a residential burglary in the 6300 block of Maiden Lane in Bethesda in the overnight hours between Thursday, Sept. 30, and Friday, Oct. 1. Property was taken but there was no forced entry reported.
  • Another vehicle theft happened in the 10500 block of Westlake Drive between 7p.m. and 11p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2. A 2003 Saturn SUV was stolen along with the keys to the vehicle, which were left in the car. The car was recovered Oct. 3 after a hit-and-run accident.
  • Police were called to a residential burglary in the 5100 block of Dudley Lane that occurred sometime between 8:30a.m. and 5:30p.m. Oct. 4. Property was taken but it wasn't known how the home was accessed.
