Police: Woman Spits in Faces of Three Officers During Drug Arrest

Suspect allegedly found with heroin capsules in her car in Target parking lot, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

A woman who was allegedly found with heroin capsules in her car fought and spat at police officers when they tried to arrest her, according to the Anne Arundel County Police.

Officers responded to a call of a woman using drugs in a vehicle in the Target parking lot on Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie on Thursday around 7:23 p.m.

According to a news release, officers found the woman, Dana S. Heaton, 43, of Bethesda in a 2013 Nissan Altima with heroin capsules inside the car.

Heaton allegedly began to fight with the officers, spitting in the face of three, when they tried to arrest her, according to police.

She was eventually arrested and charged with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and assault.

Officers recovered 11 heroin capsules, weighing 2.9 grams from the car, according to police.
