Potomac Woman Fatally Struck in Giant Food Parking Lot

Police: 81-year-old woman was hit by SUV in a Giant Food parking lot.

An 81-year-old Potomac woman died after being struck by a vehicle driven by a Germantown resident in a Potomac grocery store parking lot on Sunday, county police said.

Hyun Jeung In, 43, of Germantown, was driving a 2009 Acura MDX that hit Shirley Stearman, 81, of Potomac, around 2 p.m., Montgomery County police said in a news release. Stearman was walking from her vehicle toward Giant Food at 7919 Tuckerman Ln. in the Cabin John Shopping Center and Mall, police said.

Stearman later died from her injuries at Suburban Hospital.
