A man police say tied up a Bethesda homeowner, her maid and a teenage son during a January, 2012, home invasion robbery has been found guilty of home invasions and sexual assaults in two counties, according to WTOP.

State prosecutors say Kevin Darnell Ray, 34, of Fort Washington, sexually assaulted the maid during the robbery, which they say came a day after he threatened a Wheaton woman in her garage and locked her in a closet with her baby, Patch reported.

Ray allegedly told Montgomery County officials he began the crime spree after committing a series of street robberies in Washington, DC, with another man, targeting drug dealers, Patch reported. After Ray’s partner was shot and killed, he claimed he began the crime spree because he was "on his own," prosecutors said in court last year, Patch reported.
