Wisconsin Avenue Cleared After Cyclist Struck by Car

The cyclist was transported to an area hospital.

The 5300 block of Wisconsin Avenue was closed Friday morning and traffic was diverted to Western Avenue after a car struck a cyclist before 8 a.m.

A male cyclist was transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition, according to ABC7.

Wisconsin Avenue reopened to traffic just after 8 a.m. according to the D.C. police department Twitter account.

I've seen to many bikers fly thru stop sign and red lights, cut thru moving traffic and just ride like idiots. The city should take action to implement a campaign to educate bikers on the rules of the road!
