Chevy Chase Offers Workshop on RainScapes March 27

Chevy Chase residents can receive technical and funding assistance to design and install landscaping techniques and water harvesting projects on their property.

Town residents are invited to join the County's Department of Environmental Protection for a workshop on Thursday, March 27, to learn about the county’s RainScapes Program and how town residents can participate.

The workshop will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Town Hall.

The goal of the RainScapes Program is to reduce the negative effects of uncontrolled stormwater runoff. Through this program, residents can receive technical and funding assistance to design and install landscaping techniques and water harvesting projects on their property.

At the meeting officials will review an evaluation of RainScape opportunities in the town, and seek public input on future project opportunities.

More information about this program is available on the town website.
