Spotted: President Obama Golfing in Montgomery County

A weekend round of golf by POTUS was another trip to get outside the "White House bubble."

President Barack Obama spent Saturday golfing in Montgomery County.

He was spotted at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm, according to Montgomery Community Media.

The trip seems to be President Obama’s latest mini-vacation from the White House. In June, he was spotted on a Starbucks run, lunching with Education Secretary Arne Duncan in Alexandria, VA; going to Little League baseball games in suburban Maryland; and grabbing a burger at FireFlies Restaurant, according to USA Today.

The outings are President Obama’s way of breaking out of what he calls the “White House bubble,” according to the news outlet.

“These were events that the president genuinely enjoyed,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest told USA Today. “He was pleased to have a chance to get outside of the bubble a little bit and to shake some hands and to visit with some folks.”

Where do you think we’ll see President Obama pop up next outside the “White House bubble?”
