STORM CLOSURES: Montgomery Schools Closed, Parking Restrictions in Place

The winter storm warning continues through 5 a.m. Friday. Snow has been falling across the county with accumulations from 8 to 12 inches.

Crews throughout the county are plowing and treating major roadways. Travel disruptions within the region are expected as roads are snow covered. Caution should be used during any travel; remain alert for ongoing plow/salt operations. Weather and road conditions are making travel hazardous. These conditions are expected to continue through Friday.

It's a snow day Thursday for students in Montgomery County. On Wednesday afternoon, Montgomery County Public Schools reported that schools would be closed on Thursday due to emergency weather conditions.

Activities scheduled to take place in school buildings are canceled Thursday.

The school system has yet to determine whether administrative offices will be open on Thursday.
