Congratulations, Whitman Class of 2011!

Here's what you should know about Tuesday's graduation ceremony.

Walt Whitman High School's 2011 graduation is taking place at 2:30p.m. Tuesday at Constitution Hall. Around 470 students will graduate, according to school officials.

Here's what graduates and their friends and families should know about the graduation:

Students should arrive at Constitution Hall (1776 D Street NW, Washington, D.C.) by 1p.m. and report to the D Street entrance.

The buses for staff will leave Whitman at 12:30.

After the ceremony, graduates and their families should make a plan in advance about where to meet, according to Donna Gardner, a school secretary who handles graduation. "It does get congested and its chaotic, so parents should know where they're going to meet their child," Gardner said.

If you are riding Metrorail to the graduation, the Farragut North stop on the Red Line will be your best choice, as it is only a 10-minute walk from Constitution Hall. Exit the Farragut West at the 17th Street exit and walk south on 17th Street for about eight blocks. Once you get to Constitution Hall, head west for one block to enter the building from the 18th Street entrance.

If you are driving to Constitution Hall, two-hour, metered street parking will be limited.

The graduation ceremony will be streamed live, online, through the Constitution Hall website.

The graduation speaker will be Lt. Gov Anthony G. Brown.
